Teddy

Teddy is a sweet 5 month old Samoyed who came to us after his previous owner suffered from an injury that made it hard to keep up with Teddy’s exercise and entertainment needs. Teddy is a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs—he loves making new furry friends and is always up for a playful romp. However, he’s still a bit shy around humans and needs some extra love and patience to feel completely at ease.

Teddy is very clever and adventurous which can sometimes get him into trouble. He has been known to squeeze through gaps in fencing, climb out of pens, and climb onto countertops. He is teething and with that he likes to chew anything he get his teeth on. He enjoys playfully nibbling on people and dogs alike, and will chew up any shoes and slippers he comes across. Although he can be a bit stubborn, a little training would likely go a long way to curb some of these less desirable behaviors.

At his foster home, Teddy has been sleeping in a crate within the human’s room. Although he may bark for a few minutes in protest, he soon settles down and embraces his cozy space. Teddy prefers not to be left alone or out of view of his canine and human companions. Teddy’s ideal adopter would have another dog in the house who wants a buddy.
