Mac

Mac is a playful and affectionate dog who absolutely thrives on physical affection from his humans. He’s happiest when he can curl up beside you, rest his chin on your lap, and soak in all the love. Around the house, Mac is calm, well-mannered, and clearly very well trained — he knows all his basic commands, has excellent recall, and settles in nicely indoors.

We believe Mac is a husky mix, which may explain his energetic, playful nature. Outdoors, his energy can really ramp up — he tends to assume every dog he meets wants to play rough and often gets overly excited, sometimes nipping to initiate play. While this behavior isn’t aggressive, it can overwhelm other dogs and unintentionally escalate situations.

More recently, Mac has also begun showing signs of resource guarding, which is another reason we feel he’d do best as the only animal in the home. He’s looking for a dedicated owner with the time, space, and consistency to give him the structure, exercise, and engagement he craves.

In the right environment, with someone who understands his needs and can guide his big personality, Mac will be the most loyal, loving, and entertaining companion you could ask for.
