Loki

Adopted

When Loki came to our attention, he was in very rough shape, such that when his foster family first met him, their decision was instant to take him in and rescue him from a challenging situation.

Loki was suffering from hair loss as well as an understandable wariness of any new environment. With lots of love and care (and medical care), Loki started to emerge from his shell and his coat started to fill back in. His foster family went all-in to make him feel loved and secure in his new home, and soon we learned a lot more about Loki’s true personality:

  • He loves salmon-based food, treats and vitamins
  • He also loves cheese
  • He is sweet, kind and gentle
  • He is an escape artist; he observes and then creates an escape plan
  • He likes to rub against newly washed clothes or linen
  • He loves walks and car rides
  • He likes a few pets but not TOO many
  • He loves to stay outside when it’s cold
  • He responds to Alexa (makes him think it’s time to walk)
  • He likes to sleep in the “Firefox logo” position
  • He’s still getting used to toys

It wasn’t too long before Loki’s foster family decided that Loki was going to be a permanent member of their household. While Loki still has some challenges to work through, he’s clearly landed in the best possible home he could hope for, and thanks to his dedicated foster (now permanent) family, his future is now bright and secure.
