Fabio

Adopted

On February 9, 2025

Fabio was surrendered to us by a caring owner who realized that long-term, he needed more space and dedicated attention than she could provide. A foster family stepped up to take him in while he got settled, got neutered, and got matched with a new forever home.

What sort of impression did Fabio make in foster? In the foster family’s own words:

Fabio is a whirlwind of energy, charm, and personality wrapped up in one handsome package. From the moment we met him, it was clear he had a playful spirit that could light up any room. His boundless enthusiasm for life is contagious, and his goofy smile, larger-than-life attitude (despite not quite understanding his own size) keeps us laughing daily.

Fabio’s very attentive. He’s always tuned in to what’s happening around him, making him a great companion. He’s a quick learner, too, and while he’s still mastering some basic commands, his eagerness to please—especially when treats or belly rubs are involved—makes training a joy. Speaking of treats, Fabio is a total ham when it comes to snacks, and watching him scarf down a meal in record time is both impressive and hilarious.

When he’s not zooming around or playing, Fabio loves to relax in the coolest spot he can find, often sprawled out in the most dramatic poses. And while he’s full of energy, he’s also surprisingly well-behaved when left to his own devices.

Fabio has brought so much joy, laughter, and silliness into our lives.”

So you can guess how THAT turned out. In rescue, “foster fail” is our affectionate term for when a Samoyed charms his foster family such that his foster home becomes his forever home, and that’s what happened here. A future of frequent walks, human attention, dog romps, toys, treats, and beach trips (see photo) awaits. Nicely played, Fabio.
